About GWA
Greenwich Women's Aid provides safe, secure, high quality temporary accommodation, floating support and children's services to women and children escaping Domestic Violence and abuse. GWA was established in 1975 by a group of local concerned and committed women.
The organisation's success over these thirty four years has been a direct result of the commitment, dedication and enthusiasm shown by the Board of Trustees and staff: united in their desire to provide a service to women and children suffering from the effects of domestic abuse and to work towards ending the cycle of abuse.
Our services are confidential, non-judgmental and respectful of diversity. GWA aim to empower women so they can make informed choices about their future. GWA offer a range of services that put women and children at the heart of decision making, to gain confidence, strength and self-respect in order to free themselves from abusive relationships.
